Wicked Whiskey Love
In WICKED WHISKEY LOVE…
After escaping abusive parents and, later, an abusive relationship, Sarah Beckley has spent a lifetime watching snakes shed their skin. With two small children to care for and another on the way, she’s finally found a home in Peaceful Harbor with the brother she hasn’t seen in more than a decade. She’s still searching for her sister, but life is good. If only she could stop thinking about the sinfully sexy doctor/biker who has taken to her children like a loving uncle-and to her like a hungry man.
Trust doesn’t come easily for Sarah, but Bones Whiskey is patient and protective, amazing with her children, and he looks at her like she is the only woman he could ever want-and more. With two little ones underfoot, Sarah expects him to move on quickly, yet with every tender kiss and each trying moment with the children, Bones surprises her. But will the fiercely loyal biker stick around when Sarah’s worst secret is revealed, or will he shed his skin, too?
Sandy’s 4.25 Blush Review
Sarah Beckley has gone through enough drama and heartache in her life. It’s not in her to trust people since all they’ve done is hurt her and let her down. She needs serenity in her life. Stability for the baby she’s carrying and her other – Bradley and Lila. Things are not perfect but she’s Settling into Peaceful Harbor. Plenty on her plate so the last thing on her mind is
Bones Whiskey is compassionate, kind and loving. A doctor with a heart of gold. It’s not his fault that he looks ridiculously sexy on his motorcycle! This guy cannot be real or can he? These two people have a lot to overcome. Sarah is carrying a LOT of baggage and is afraid. Rightfully so! Whiskey falls in love her kids first and wants to protect all of them.
Let’s get down to the nitty-gritty of Wicked Whisky. This is Book #4 in the saga knows as The Whiskeys series. Though it says it is standalone, I respectfully disagree. I felt a little lost in the beginning because of the characters from the previous book’s crossover into this one. As a matter of fact, Sarah and Whiskey meet in a previous book when she is rescued by another Whiskey sibling.
Having said that, this book was rich and funny, smexy and took me on a roller coaster of emotions. This swoony guy makes we want to read the other books in the series. Despite their challenges, I feel these two brought out the best in each other. Sarah rose up to meet her future because Bones made her feel secure. Bones, is a knight in shining armor to all but needs something deeper and lasting.
By the way, can the Whiskeys just adopt me, please? I have it on good authority (my hubby) that I look really cute on a chopper.

The Whiskey Way…..
Wicked Whiskey Love is my first Melissa Foster book. The Whiskey is a contemporary romance series. Wicked Whiskey Love features Wayne “Bones” Whiskey and Sarah Beckley. Their story has a lot of depth and details. There are many emotional moments and tender ones as well. It is well written and flows.
First of all – I want a real life “Bones” Whiskey! He is amazing! Loyal, caring, smart, and super-hot & sexy. A real gentleman. Bones is also a doctor. Watch out for his alpha-protective side! Bones comes from a unique MC family called the Dark Knights. They are always helping others and protecting and cherishing their women. The Dark Knights embraced Sarah and her family, helping them in their time of need. Not your typical MC club. But don’t let the sweetness fool you. They will seek justice if necessary.
Sarah Beckley is a woman of incredible strength. She has survived so many terrible things. She has finally found a home in Peaceful Harbor, living with her brother Scott. She is trying to outrun the ghosts of her past which leaves her to be very guarded, especially when it comes to her children. She lives for them. Sarah is the single parent of three-year-old Bradley, 11-month-old Lila and is pregnant again! She strives to make her children have the life she never did. One filled with love and hope.
Because of her history with men, his attention was as disturbing as it was comforting.
Bones and Sarah have chemistry right from the start. Her situation is tricky and yet it did nothing to deter Bones from perusing her. He knew he had to tread lightly. He was so amazing with her kids. Sarah tries to fight her feelings toward Bones. She is weary of getting hurt and confusing her children. There are so many wonderful, tender interactions with Bones, Bradley and Lila. There were funny ones too. Bones just has a natural way with the kids. Their journey is not quick or easy. And you literally feel the intimacy between Sarah and Bones. It gradually builds and then explodes with hot and sexy times!
“I don’t want to save you. I just want to –“ Help you? Be with you?
I had a few issues with Wicked Whiskey Love. It states that it is stand-alone. It can be read as such but I feel as though I am missing so much about all of the characters. The author does a great job at introducing characters and explaining their relevance but I felt overwhelmed at times trying to remember who belonged to who, as well as who the parents of some of the kids were. Wicked Whiskey Love is a lengthy, detailed, beautifully written story but there are parts that I wish I understood better. Sarah and her brother were introduced in one of the previous books (I’m not sure which one). There was a lot going on with them that plays a major part in this story (no spoilers). There were several loose ends and unanswered questions at the end. I would have like just a little bit more in the epilogue although I have a feeling that we will learn the answers in Mad About Moon, the next installment in The Whiskey series. I definitely want to go back to the beginning and enjoy this series!
A magnificent love story for those who enjoy fiercely loyal and insanely sexy alpha heroes, smart, sassy heroines, families, bikers, babies, and more! ….Melissa Foster
