#DualReview~~ Must Love Babies by Lynnette Austin
Must Love Babies by Lynnette Austin
This baby’s not the only one in need of a cuddle…
Brant Wylder is a bachelor and loving it! He’s in Misty Bottoms, Georgia, property-hunting for his vintage car repair shop when he gets the call. His sister’s been in an accident, and Brant has to drop everything and take care of his five-month-old nephew. That’s the end of the bachelor lifestyle.
Bridal boutique owner Molly Stiles is all business all the time, until she sees that Brant’s in trouble. In this Southern town, nobody ever has to go it alone. And besides, how can she resist that beautiful baby in the arms of a beautiful man…?

Nicole’s 4 Blush Review
Setting: small southern town
Heroine: a woman with a plan, goals to be reached, no time for a man
Hero: good looking, funny smart, a bumbling uncle caring for his infant nephew
Yep!! Must Love Babies by Lynnette Austin ticks off three of my favorite characteristics of a sweet love story.
When a mutual friend’s wedding puts Molly and Brant square in each other’s sights, sparks fly. Right as all signs point to Molly and Brant extending their evening, Brant gets a phone call that will change his life, and must leave right away, leaving Molly wondering what just happened.
As the story unfolds, Brant takes on the huge responsibility of caring for his 7 month old nephew, Jax, while his sister recovers from a car accident. Brant has no clue how to care for an infant. It doesn’t take Brant long to figure out that babies have 3 jobs; eating, pooping and sometimes sleeping!! Exhausted beyond words and no end in sight, he still finds time to pursue Molly. Even though Molly’s life plan does not include a man or a baby before age 30, she finds herself falling for both Brant and Jax. There is just something about a man with a baby!!
I really enjoyed this book. It was an easy read. I curled up in my favorite chair on a rainy day and lost myself in story. Small town life in Misty Bottoms draws you in and makes you want to live there. Brant and Molly’s relationship is sweet to watch as it develops. Watching Brant figure out life with Jax was both funny and so incredibly dear. That might be my favorite part of the story.
I recommend Must Love Babies to anyone who enjoys sweet romance with little drama and a whole lot of love!
Sandy’s 3.5 Blush Review
Molly has cut all ties with her past and started all over in the charming little town of Misty Bottoms, Georgia. The Little White Dress is doing very well and so are her circle of friends. Thing is Molly brought baggage and I don’t mean a suitcase. The man she thought was the one burned her. Add her childhood memories and this girl has a wall around her heart. She has a life list and she’s ticking things off one by one.
Brandt is happy go lucky living his life and scoping out a new location for Wylder Rides – a car restoration business he owns with his two brothers. Going from flower to flower and savoring life, despite a few bumps.
One night these two meet at a wedding and one sweet kiss affects them both more than either one is ready to admit. The evening seems promising until Brandt gets a phone call and takes off. His sister has had an accident and he’s left to take care of his seven month old nephew, Jax.
You guys can imagine what happens next. Though neither one wants commitment, they can’t stay away from each other. Though Brandt’s helplessness with Jax is adorable, I did feel it could have been condensed. It didn’t add in a substantial way to the story for me. If you are looking for 50 Shades kind of sex with ripped bodices, well you’re not going to get that in Must Love Babies. This was a sweet and clean romance in the same vein as Harlequin love stories and Hallmark movies. It’s charming in its portrayal of small town life and the family love that binds us together.
About the Author:
Lynnette Austin loves Starbucks, peppermint patties, and long rides with the top down and the music cranked up! One of the great things about writing is that daydreaming is not only permissible but encouraged. She grew up in Pennsylvania, moved to New York, then to Wyoming, and presently divides her time between Florida’s beaches and Georgia’s mountains. She’s been a finalist in RWA’s Golden Heart Contest, PASIC’s Book of Your Heart Contest, and Georgia Romance Writers’ Maggie Contest. Having grown up in a small town, that’s where her heart takes her-to those quirky small towns where everybody knows everybody…and all their business, for better or worse.
