LOUISA’S 4 STAR REVIEW
How is it possible the JJ McAvoy can write all her books with such ease. (She may not agree with that statement) I haven’t encountered a book, yet, from her that I don’t just love.
These two “stars” lives have intersected again and their lives and hearts are woven so deep that I am unsure they can survive without each other. JJ McAvoy has once again captured me with her beautiful writing. The suspense in this book rivals the suspense and angst of her Ruthless People Series.
Noah – the quintessential hollywood bad boy! He and Amelia grew up on screen together and behind the scenes were growing up too. They seemed to have it all until Noah ends it all. Amelia is heartbroken and not long after their very public and embaressing split, Amelia’s career begins to falter. However, Noah’s life and career was going well but his fun has gotten a bit out of control! He’s fresh out of rehab and is needing to re-energize his career. He is casted for the next book-made-movie, soon-to-be-blockbuster! This job can be exactly what Noah needs to be back on top!
No one would every think that Amelia would or could be the co-star in Sinners Like Us. She has the “good girl, naive” reputation and needs to get her career back on track and change everyones perception of her. With her determination and hard work, she is casted as the leading lady. But can she and Noah get past their past?
I couldn’t wait for part 2 to come. You can purchase this series as a whole now! The second part had me on the edge of my seat but left me hanging with one hell of a cliffhanger but JJ McAvoy redeemed herself in the third part for me. As I said before, I LOVED the Ruthless People series – Melody and Liam made an appearance in this series which made it even better for me. This book was face paced and entertaining. We get the lifelong relationship of this couple. I loved the epilogue(s) just was the whipped cream on top of this delicious cake!
KERRY’S 4 STAR REVIEW
Child Star 2 goes right to were 1 left off. Truths are revealed and enemies become allies. They are a piece of a pie. A roller coaster of feelings are between Amelia and Noah. They sizzle on screen has well as off.
Hollywood bad boy and America’s sweetheart are making their way on the big screen bringing their careers in full circle, but what everyone sees isn’t always what is truly projected. These two child stars have demons and secrets that need to stay hidden.
Noah is loyal, broken, and complex.
He is private but when it comes to Amelia, he is possessive and he will do anything to protect her.. But at what cost?
Amelia is nurturing, loyal, naive, and vulnerable, but this is what everyone sees. What everyone doesn’t see is that she is fearless and she protects the ones she loves.
Child star is told in 2 POV. It’s a fast paced, easy read, full of suspense, and it’s intriguing. It’s a must read series. You will be in shock and it will take you awhile to recover. I didn’t want it to end and I really loved this series. JJ Mcvoy has exploded on the scene and hasn’t stopped! She keeps delivering one after another. They are well written and I love the crossover of characters. It’s full of emotions and action. She really has told it like it is! Grab this series. You won’t be disappointed.
