Check out WHAT IF by Rebecca Donovan and find out THE STORY BEHIND THE STORY
A new novel by REBECCA DONOVAN the USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of The Breathing Series
What if you had a second chance to meet someone for the first time?
Cal Logan is shocked to see Nicole Bentley sitting across from him at a coffee shop thousands of miles from their hometown. After all, no one has seen or heard from her since they graduated more than a year ago.
Except this girl isn’t Nicole.
She looks exactly like Cal’s shy childhood crush, but her name is Nyelle Preston and she has no idea who he is. This girl is impulsive and daring, her passion for life infectious. The complete opposite of Nicole. Cal finds himself utterly fascinated –and falling hard. But Nyelle is also extremely secretive. And the closer he comes to finding out what she’s hiding, the less he wants to know.
When the secrets from the past and present collide, one thing becomes clear: Nothing is what it seems.

Abby and Dawns joint review: Abby: Wow Dawn, just wow! Cal – he is so the boy next door right? Everything sweet and lovable from the types of male characters we’ve grown to love from Donovan. What did you think of him?
Dawn: Truly, I adored Cal! He’s vulnerable, lovable, and I connected with him so much. I felt all the emotions he experienced throughout What If…and Rebecca Donovan captured his personality and all of his feelings in the way she is so good at doing!
Abby: And the twists Donovan spun…. I was a little teary eyed and a tad surprised more than once, how about you?
Dawn: I really had NO idea what to expect when I picked up What If and that is exactly how you need to go into this one… there’s so much that happens that keeps you guessing and wondering what’s going to happen next. It would be so easy to give away too much, and that would be a shame for those who haven’t read it yet, so let’s keep it as much of a mystery as possible, shall we? 😉
Abby: And the writing style, I kinda do want to go back through it now that I’m finished and look at it with a fresh set of eyes.
Dawn: Absolutely! Rebecca Donovan weaves a tale that pulls you in and questioning so much. I definitely felt the same way when I finished… like I wanted to go back with a new set of eyes, like you, and view it all knowing What If… and experiencing it on a different level. Rebecca Donovan surprised me with this one, and I felt took me down a path that I was not expecting. My emotions and thoughts often felt all over the place, and I believe that’s what was intended. What do you think?
Abby: I think you are absolutely right! This was deliberate. In fact once you are finished you start to notice how deliberate everything is.
Dawn: There’s such a strong message in this story, all summed up in What If. I could go deeper into more of the story, but it would be a disservice to do that and not allow the next person reading it for the first time to experience all of that!
Abby: Dawn I agree wholeheartedly! This is one that should be kept quiet and let the reader experience. Get a secret group after and don’t share what happens, that’s my suggestion because part of the fabulous is not knowing What If. Happy reading. Add to your Goodreads Preorder
Optimism seeps from every pore of my body. I truly believe that what’s supposed to happen… will! In that regard, I don’t know how to give up; it’s not part of my biological make up. I’m a passionate (and some would say, overly enthusiastic) person. I learn by doing (and have been burned more times that I’d like to admit), but I will always throw my entire self into whatever I do – fail or succeed. I think this is evident when I write, leaving nothing behind and spilling it all out on the pages. I give it all to my readers – love it or hate it. The path I’m on is very often my own, veering off the beaten path at the sight of something more interesting or captivating, getting caught in the vines and thorns in order to experience the beauty and intrigue others often pass by. And I always meet the most interesting people along the way. a Rafflecopter giveaway
