#BlogTour~~Blood Type by KA Linde #PNR
A startling new vision of paranormal romance: When a human ventures into the world of vampires—a decadent milieu of blood-bonds and betrayal—she discovers that not all is what it seems.
For Reyna Carpenter, giving up her body isn’t a choice. It’s survival.
In a civilization laid waste by poverty and desperation, Reyna accepts a high-paying position with the wealthy and hungry vampire elite. Her new job is as the live-in blood escort for the intimidating, demanding, and devilishly handsome Beckham Anderson. He’s everything she expected from a vampire, except for one thing—he won’t feed off her.
Reyna soon discovers that behind Beckham’s brooding, wicked façade lies a unique and complex man. And that, in a dark and divided world, she is more valuable than she ever would have believed.
For with each passing night, Reyna can’t shake the sensation that it’s Beckham who’s afraid of her.
Note: Reyna and Beckham’s story continues in Blood Match.
LOUISA’S 4.5 BLUSH REVIEW
From the first page of this book, I couldn’t stop reading, hours upon hours of reading. Reyna is strong, loving, caring and will do anything, seriously anything, to help her brothers. Living in a, some might say a dystopian world, a world and government essentially ruled by Vampire’s she’s desperate to help. She’s signed up to be a “donor” for Visage but is given the opportunity to have a permanent sponsor. She will make twice as much money as she thought, donating Blood to Beckham, a higher up at Visage.
Beckham isn’t the most welcoming man, but he has his moments of sweetness with Reyna. Reyna finds herself in precarious situations (a lot) and Beck is the one who gets her out of the dangerous situations, he is concerned for her safety, but he’s also the man whose company is ruling the world, he’s often dismissive to Reya which confused her immensely. Reyna often finds herself wanting to hate him, but just can’t. Everything is not what it always seems.
For the PNR reading, this book is you can sink your teeth right into (pun intended) and for my non-PNR readers – this book, just might be the one to change your mind forever. There is suspense, angst (of course), so hotness (of course), hot vampires, bad ass heroine and honesty within these pages that you will also be hooked the moment you begin.
Beware – there is a book two (and three), so there is a bit of a cliffhanger, but it’s going to be so worth the wait!
Ok – So I have said this a few times when writing reviews for PNR books – I DON’T READ PNR…but I think I need to officially abandon that statement forever. A certain friend, you know who you are, strongly suggested a read a series a few years ago (The Dark Light Series by SL Jennings), and holy shitballs, I fell in love. Then, the same person suggested I read Sylvain Reynard’s The Florentine Series, and again – she was so freaking right. So NOW, I am going to say to this friend…OMG, get to reading Blood Type by K.A. Linde because I am hooked. I have been a K.A. Linde fan from 2012 when she released Avoiding Commitment – one of the angstiest series I have ever read!
Sandy’s 4.25 Blush Review
I was fascinated. I was hooked.
Imagine a world where one huge company controls everyone because they employ mostly everyone. Except that this company’s clients are vampires and employment means you are an escort. Get your mind out of the gutter. They don’t want your body – nope – just your blood. In this world there is no bottled “True Blood” to take the edge off of a vampires’ hunger.
Reyna Carpenter’s love for her brothers is what lead her to Visage. They are all starving and barely scraping by as warehouse rats. Her blood is going to allow them to live and maybe Reyna can go back to college. Luckily for her after getting accepted by Visage she is offered a spot in a new program they are starting. A kind of match.com for vampires and a permanent escort. The lure of a position with double the salary is irresistible.
Enter Beckham Anderson, gorgeous, scary as hell and the answer to her predicament. He also happens to be very high up the chain of command at Visage. He is totally alpha, totally swoon worthy and a total jerk! Though, I’d totally be his blood buddy.
Before you poo poo on PNR and say you don’t read it. Let me strongly suggest you give this one a try. I read Blood Type in one four hour sitting because I could not put it down. But wait there is more! The chemistry between these two made me want to smoke a cigarette. The angst. The off the chain chemistry. The twist. The turns. The bad guys! Of course there are bad guys! You didn’t really think this was going to be easy, right? As much as I HATE cliffhangers – I didn’t mind this one. It was a total classic, damsel in distress move with a revelation that will leave you in despair for Book #2. You’ll be happy to know that Blood Match: A Blood Type Novel (Blood Type Book 2) releases on June 26th.

That was the moment Beckham appeared in the doorway like a storm cloud.
Reyna straightened in her seat at the expression on his face. He walked across the room like a tightly coiled spring ready to explode.
“Ah Beckham, there you are,” Harrington said.
“Excuse me, William. I need to speak with Reyna. Alone.”
She hastened out of her seat and followed him around the corner. He tugged her straight through the kitchens, out the back door, down a corridor, and into a dead end. Then her back was slammed against the brick wall. His fist connected with the wall behind her, and she felt the wall shudder. Debris floated onto her shoulders.
“You left,” he growled.
“I . . .”
“No.” He pressed his finger to her lips roughly. She stopped breathing and just stared up into his eyes as dark as night. Her body trembled under the feral stare. “You left without me.”
The silence was weighted. All she could do was sit with their bodies nearly touching. His finger on her mouth. Her mind wandering to hellacious places.
“You are my subject. Can you imagine what it was like when I found you missing? When you turned up with three of my kind?” She shook her head minutely. He bared his teeth to her, and she shrank back. “These are meant to drink your blood. To drink you dry until there is nothing left of your body but a dry corpse. We are killers. We don’t hesitate. Just because we’re wearing suits and seem more like you . . . does not mean we are like you. We are not like you. They especially are not like you. The only way you get to the top of Visage is to be fucking ruthless, Reyna. Do you understand?”
“You’re . . . scaring me,” she whispered.
“Good.”
Reyna Carpenter and Beckham Anderson return in the exhilarating follow-up to the provocative paranormal romance Blood Type.
