I don’t think there’s anything that can prepare you for Ruin. There were so many questions and answers that we all needed after Slay… I don’t think I was mentally prepared for these answers! Ruin wasn’t anything I excepted. It utterly shook me to my core.
With every storm is a calm and this book was exactly that! This is told in a dual POV and we get to see Edward vulnerable at times which took me surprise because he is the devil in disguise. Celia is lost and a damaged soul and has been young age, she has been groomed by some powerful men. I truly felt sorry at times for her.
Ruin is intense, captivating the title says it all! Laurelin always loves to shock her readers and she has done it with Ruin. This is the second book in the Slay quartet series… prepare yourself before reading because I’m telling you it will blow your mind
