Blog Tour/Review: TAKE TWO (Lights, Camera #1) by Laurelin Paige
Summary: He’s ready for his close up, but she’s the one calling the shots.
On the night of her graduation from film school, straight-laced Maddie Bauers fell completely out of character for an oh-my-god make-out session with a perfect stranger. Complete with the big O.
Seven years later, that romantic interlude is still fresh in her mind. That stranger is now a rich and famous actor. And she’s one very distracted camera assistant working on his latest production. She might consider another tryst…if he even remembers her.
Micah Preston does indeed remember Maddie. Too bad he’s sworn off Hollywood relationships. He allows himself as much sex as he likes—and oh, he does like—but anything more is asking for trouble. For the woman, not for him. Yet knowing Maddie could want more than a movie-set fling doesn’t stop him from pursuing her like a moth drawn to hot stage lights.
But as the shoot nears its end, it’s decision time. Is it time to call, “Cut!” on their affair, or is there enough material for a sequel?
Warning: Contains a dreamy movie star hero, a focus-pulling heroine, off-the-charts instant chemistry, steamy sex in near-public locations, and a new use for lip gloss.

Maddie and Micah…HOT HOT HOT!!
After reading Laurelin Paige’s FIXED trilogy, I am a confirmed reader of all things Laurelin, and Take Two confirmed that for me. Maddie just graduated from film school and has huge dreams when she meets Micah at a party. Little does she know that it’s a wrap party for one of his films. Regardless, the sparks fly between them from the very beginning!
Then, as sometimes happens, things get in the way and they go their separate ways for seven years, only to be thrown together on Micah’s latest movie. Maddie watched Micah’s star rise and his pants fall for many a starlet or Hollywood hanger-on while her career has had its own ups and a few big downs. When they meet again, the chemistry is still off the charts, but can they find a middle ground and make a relationship work? You’ll need to read to discover that!
The story kept me reading late into the night and picking up my kindle first thing in the morning to know what was going to happen next. While hoping and wishing for life to give Maddie and Micah what I desperately wanted for them, there are a ton of hurdles. I loved how Laurelin brought in the Hollywood element while not bringing in real names (although I admit to trying to guess who she might have fashioned some of the characters after!). There are many hot and steamy moments, much heartache, very real challenges, and funny moments that had me giggling.
Laurelin Paige’s writing completely wraps me up into the story. If you’ve read the FIXED Trilogy, I’d say this isn’t quite as steamy or as much of a mind-f*ck but it definitely ranks up there in books I’d recommend you read. The dialogue flows smoothly and the scene-setting places me right into the middle of it all. Overall, a great read and I’m ready for book 2 in the Lights, Camera series!
p.s. I was putting chapstick on the day after I finished Take Two…um, yeah, I’ll never look at chapstick again the same way after this book!! LOL

About Laurelin: Laurelin Paige is the NY Times and USA Today Bestselling Author of the Fixed Trilogy. She’s a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Mad Men and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Adam Levine.
