Blog Tour: TROUBLE by Samantha Towle
Genre: New Adult Romance
Release Date: November 20, 2013
Mia Monroe is running. Running from a person she doesn’t ever want to find her. Running from a past she doesn’t ever want anyone to know. Desperate to find a future, that yesterday, she could only dream of having.
Jordan Matthews likes easy. Easy women. Easy life.
Then he meets Mia.
She’s damaged, troubled and has more baggage than any person can carry. But the more Jordan gets to know Mia-for the first time in his life-he finds himself wanting to try hard for something… for someone… for her.
And then life isn’t so easy anymore.
Jordan is everything Mia shouldn’t want. A whole bunch of dirty hotness, tattooed, cocky bad boy, who made his money at poker tables and picked his women up in bars. Yet, Mia finds herself falling for him. Then the past Mia was running from, quickly starts to catch up with her. Because that’s the problem with running… you have to stop sometime.
And when you stop, you get caught.
Dawn’s Review 4 Stars
The minute that I saw that Samantha Towle had a new book coming out, I was practically stalking her page watching for updates! Trouble is different than The Mighty Storm series and I didn’t know what to expect but I loved Mia and Jordan’s story.
Trouble addresses several heavy issues for both Mia and Jordan. They both have faced pain, heartbreak, and loss. Both have learned to compensate in different ways and those are brought up pretty early on. I really felt that Jordan is the perfect man for Mia, once he let’s go of his man-whore ways and once Mia allowed someone to know about her own demons. Mia, she’s broken but also very determined. Seeing her strength grow through the story was beautiful.
One of the things I simply love about Samantha Towle’s writing is how with a few simple words, she can make my breath hitch and my heart thud hard in my chest. There were several moments in Trouble that touched me in this way. And she also handled the dual POVs so well! I LOVED Jordan’s voice in the story. Nailed it!
For me, Trouble started a little slow but once I got past that, I didn’t want to put it down. And I guessed a key part of the story, however it’s all about the journey getting there and Trouble allows that to play out. In the end, this was a very touching journey about two souls who helped each other confront their demons. It was sweet and sexy with some very funny moments, including some interesting conversations with Dozer, the dog!
Abby’s Review 4 stars
This starts and Oh My goodness do you feel for Mia Monroe. Some stuff is going down and it is repulsive and disgusting and you then you get to watch Mia try to gain some internal strength.
Mia is on a search. On her search for someone important in her history, she meets Jordan. Jordan is a sweet guy. Kinda a sexy nerd. Ok, not really a nerd kinda an inside joke, read it you’ll see. Jordan is also a tatted up hottie god who has struggled with his own demons.
This is a story about love and two people finding the strength in each other to work through some of their own demons. It touches on several forms of abuse as well as bulimia. Overall it is a very sweet story. I do wish that the pace was a little quicker and that the heat was slightly turned up.
