Blog Tour, Review & Giveaway ~~ Marrow by Tarryn Fisher
Synopsis
In the Bone there is a house.
In the house there is a girl.
In the girl there is a darkness.
Margo is not like other girls. She lives in a derelict neighborhood called the Bone, in a cursed house, with her cursed mother, who hasn’t spoken to her in over two years. She lives her days feeling invisible. It’s not until she develops a friendship with her wheelchair-bound neighbor, Judah Grant, that things begin to change. When a neighborhood girl, seven-year-old Neveah Anthony, goes missing, Judah sets out to help Margo uncover what happened to her.
What Margo finds changes her, and with a new perspective on life, she’s determined to find evil and punish it–targeting rapists and child molesters, one by one.
But hunting evil is dangerous, and Margo risks losing everything, including her own soul.
LOUISA’S 4.5 STAR REVIEW
I have had the pleasure of reading The Opportunist Series, Mud Vein and Never Never Part 1 by Tarryn Fisher. So I knew that reading this book may leave me baffled, confused and awed. But I wasn’t sure it was possible to leave me in a book hangover like no other. She has outdone herself with this book.
Tarryn has a way of writing that is so unbelievably unique. She captures your attention, reels you in, sneaks into your brain and holds you there and doesn’t let go….EVER. This book hangover is still in full force (and it’s been days since I have finished).
I felt as though I was in the Bone, living among the sadness that Margo and Judah lived with daily. Tarryn’s writing is so descriptive and beautiful and unique.
I am not sure how to explain this book without giving away the uniqueness in which it holds. It’s one of those books that my review most likely will not do it justice. Everyone deserves to experience this book, I need to read it again and again, and I believe the experience will be different every time.
How Tarryn Fisher can make you cheer for Margo and her vigilante ways I will never know. The darkness of Margo and her thoughts are so expertly revealed in such a way, that it was woven and ingrained into my mind, that I felt the way she did, had the same feelings as she did, I wanted to seek the revenge she did. I loved the way in which Judah brought out the “light” in Margo. He could have had the darkness overtake him because of the cards he had been dealt in life, however, he was the exact person Margo needed.
This is a dark, twisted, sad yet beautiful story. Tarryn has become one of my must read authors. Just write it Tarryn and I PROMISE to read it!
And by the way – this cover is currently my #1 cover for 2015 – shout out to Murphy Rae, just beautiful!!
