The final book in the Ruthless People series is here…
“Villains by Choice.”
Betrayed. Melody is nowhere to be found, Liam is in jail, and the Callahan family is cracking, just as Avian Doers, the FBI Director and puppet master behind their downfall, planned.
But just because they’re down doesn’t mean they’re out. To fight back, Liam and Melody will have to put everything on the line. The kid gloves are coming off, and no one is getting out alive. Nothing will compare to the reign of terror that is about to envelope the entire country. First they were Ruthless, now they are pure Savages. The end is here, and no one is safe…
LOUISA’S 4 STAR REVIEW
I couldn’t wait for this book to get to my kindle. I have enjoyed being on the outer edges of the Callahan family. Watching as it begins to crumble. You would think while reading about this crime ridden, drug dealing, conniving family, I would want them to implode but in fact, I wanted to be one of them, almost!
This book picks up with Liam in jail and Mel missing. The twists and turns in which Ms. McAvoy has woven this web is unbelievable. So detailed, so thought out so believable! I know that’s a contradiction, but what happens to this family and they way in which they survive is just crazy. But Ms. McAvoy has dotted her “i” and crossed her “t” so it’s all layed out there and it works!
I can’t say much about what happens in the book because readers deserve the chance to get on this roller coaster and enjoy the ride. And it’s one hell of a ride. I continued to love the way in which she has numerous POV throughout the book. I always enjoy a dual POV but this book has several points of view and I just loved knowing how people really saw the situation and it wasn’t one sided.
I don’t ask my husband to read the books I am reading because most likely, he won’t enjoy the, I did however, have him read a sex scene between Liam and Mel and well, I think HE was a little hot and bothered after it (too)! Wow, the fireworks continue between Mel and Liam in the bedroom. I also continued to laugh out loud on numerous occasions. Making me laugh while reading isn’t something that happens often, not sure why, but it doen’t happen. All three of these books had me giggling. Mainly the banter between Mel and Liam…
“Mel, what are you doing?”
“The dishes.”
Never in all of the time we’d been together had I seen her wash a fucking dish.
“Mel -“
“I need to keep my motherfucking hands busy, Liam. Now will you please stop looking at me like I shit unicorns and leprechauns? God damn!”
I really enjoyed see the softer side of Mel and Liam in this book. They have it in them and they feed off each other with their emotions. Be it sweet and tender with their son or in the basement dealing with a traitor. The Callahan’s are definitely, RUTHLESS PEOPLE, UNTOUCHABLE AND AMERICAN SAVAGES!!
Great ending to a series I won’t soon forget! And thank you for the RULES at the end of the book! I loved everyone of them!
