Blog Tour: DATE ME (The Keatyn Chronicles #3) by Jillian Dodd
I’m not scripting my life anymore.
I’m living it.
I’m done with the God of all Hotties.
I’m going to give my heart to the boy who I think deserves it.
The boy whose kisses are hotter than molten lava.
The boy who offered me the key to his heart.
The boy who asked me to Homecoming in a big, sexy way.
There are so many things to look forward to.
Parties at the Cave. Homecoming festivities. Drama Tryouts. Shopping trips to NY.
But things aren’t always as perfect as they seem.
I find out that my best friend has been keeping a secret from me.
Not that I can blame him.
I have secrets too.
But, for now, I’m going to pretend I’m just a normal girl.
I’m going to pretend he’s not still out there.
I’m going to pretend he’s not getting desperate.
I’m going to pretend I’ll never see him again.
But, I will.
And this time, I might not get away.

Dawn’s Review
Just like a television series that you have to wait a week for the next installment, I am now on pins and needles for The Keatyn Chronicles #4!! *stomps foot* I really want to read it now! Since that’s not an option, in the meantime, you can find me hanging around the virtual watercooler of Facebook to discuss my theories of who moonboy is or is not with all those others passionately engaged in Keatyn’s life along with me.
Seriously, these books keep getting better and better! I read books 1 – 3 in a very short span of time (books 4 – 6 are not yet released). In this installment, Keatyn continues to build her friendships at Eastbrooke and takes on more activities, like the Social Committee and drama, that are helping her find who she really is. There are parties, the Homecoming Dance, visits to New York and Miami, and many encounters with boys, one of which is her moonboy. It’s pretty awesome to see her learning how to handle the ‘mean girls’ of her school with class. And I loved the fierce friendships she develops with Dallas, Riley, and Jake.
In the interest of full disclosure, I just have to say “TEAM AIDEN!!!” J With that said, I really liked how sweet and caring Dawson is to Keatyn in Date Me. I fell a bit in love with him! There are lots of fun, hot scenes between the two of them that made me happy for Keatyn. And then there is Aiden. That boy can make a girl’s heart almost beat out of her chest with just his words and his sweet gestures!
Jillian Dodd does such an amazing job with chronicling Keatyn’s life! I feel like she and the rest of her friends are also mine. She’s like this star that shines out and people are drawn to her!
Abby’s review:
I just spent the last two days in a Jillian Dodd marathon. I read all three books back to back. This series although at times for me feels, young is so highly addictive. Do you ever read a story and your eyes get heavy, so you put it down to fall asleep but somehow, all night long in your dreams this story keeps popping up in your dreams? Yep that’s what this is like.
Oh Keatyn, Keatie, Kiki, baby, Keats, whatever you want to call her, a fashonista, trend setter, man eater, girl, confused, endangered, beautiful, spunky, vibrant young woman that is really trying to figure herself out.
There are a few times where I am like really Keatyn come on get it together. But I love her. She is struggling with her identity as are so many teens. It’s just for Keatyn there are so many extremes.
I can’t wait for the next book and I hope that she starts to get it a little. I have a suspicion that she will.
There are a lot of sweet moments in this book. I really feel like its not all about her love with the guys but more about her journey with her heart.
Jillian Dodd’s writing style is fun, quirky and easy going. She gives limited detail on her love scenes so this could be read by a teen but it never feels juvenile. I was so pleasantly surprised with this series.
Jillian is the author of the That Boy series and The Keatyn Chronicles. She grew up on a farm in Nebraska, where she developed a love for Midwestern boys and Nebraska football. She lives in Texas with her family.
