Blog Tour: CATCH ME by Claire Contreras
Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance
Release Date: November 17th, 2013
In the past, I’ve always been given everything I’ve wanted, but nothing that I truly needed. I’ve experienced a lot of things in my twenty-five years, everything except the one thing I want. It’s the one thing that can’t be bought. It can’t even be taken, it has to be given. And nobody has ever given it to me, not really anyway.
Not until him.
Music is the center of both our lives, but as he found his place in it, I lost my way. He soared, while I spiraled down a destructive path.
I lost myself in more ways than I can count.
The ironic thing is that I didn’t realize how lost I was until he found me.
And now that he has, I have to wonder if he’ll stay around long enough to catch me.

He never takes his eyes off of me as he crosses the street. He walks around a group of people, purposely stepping to my side. There’s no time for formal hellos in the middle of the street, and I’m glad for that because I don’t want to introduce him to my brother and do the whole shebang in a crowded street. My smile is fixed on my face as he approaches, also smiling at me, his eyes crinkling in mischief. When he brushes past me, he takes my hand and squeezes it slightly. It’s just a squeeze. Just. But it’s enough to get my heart pumping, my blood tingling, and my eyes widening as if I’ve been caught doing something wrong, which I know is ridiculous, but that’s how his touch makes me feel.
Abby’s review 5 stars!!!
Do you have go to authors? You know the authors that you know won’t let you down. I’ve probably said it before but Claire Contreras is one of those authors. Her stories are unique and riveting. Her first two books that she put out had me on Cole fever and Catch Me has me catching a similar fever. OH Ryan…..Swoon
Claire Contreras knows how to write a book boyfriend. Ryan is good looking and in the music business. He is a producer for Shea, a good looking but some what troubled musician. Ryan has a large build, a blonde faux hawk and blue green eyes.
Ryan skyrocketed to the top of the list. He is sweet and sincere, sexy and talented in so many ways.
Claire, oh how she can write. So many things about this story made me happy. I love how music helped set the mood. I was looking up songs throughout the book being completely thrown into the mood. It’s actually my favorite playlist right now.
Something else about Claire – she is funny is her very subtle ways. She said he looks like Laurence Fishburne, but fat. I love it cracks me up. She also has many other silly things like coffee cups, you will see and then you will be wanting one for yourself.
I loved this story, it’s the kind that you will want to read more than once and I rarely have those. The characters are well thought out dynamic characters that connect with you. This is another home run for Claire Contreras and I can’t wait to read her next book.
Dawn’s Review 5 Stars
Claire Contreras knows exactly how to charm you with her writing. It grips you and holds you tight. Weaving a story that at first seems to have a separate threads that eventually all weave together to make a beautiful tapestry.
There are moments that had me laughing, had me looking for someone to rub up against and have them say raspy words in my ear, or had my heart breaking for the dysfunction of families.
There are so many moments of beauty, broken pieces that are glued together with love and friendship and hope. I still remember a particular moment that just about broke me. I gasped out loud when suddenly a few pieces fall into place. And I really liked the use of layering of past and present to draw the pieces together.
Nick – damn. That man was like a freaking drug to my system. I wanted to be Brooklyn when he spoke to her through simply a look from his blue green eyes or simply rasping ‘i want you’ in her ear. *Swoon*
Shea – at first, I didn’t really like him but then Claire did a wonderful job of making me see how his and Brooklyn’s relationship worked. And I swear he just about broke my heart! 🙁
Brooklyn – she is fascinating. Broken and real. Depressed. It’s sad and painful at moments. But I loved watching her fight her way through the moments of darkness along with learning what it could mean to truly love and be loved. She’s strong and even with moments of darkness, she was a heroine that I felt really owned her life and learned how to carve out her space. She knew what she wanted in a relationship (or didn’t want) and stood up for that.
Claire Contreras is a fascinating, must-read, immediate 1-click author for me!

Claire Contreras graduated with her BA in Psychology from Florida International University. She lives in Miami, Florida with her husband, two little boys, and three dogs.
Her favorite past times are: daydreaming, writing, and reading.
She has been described as a random, sarcastic, crazy girl with no filter.
Life is short, and it’s more bitter than sweet, so she tries to smile as often as her face allows. She enjoys stories with happy endings, because life is full of way too many unhappy ones or ones that will scare the daylights out of her and have her looking over her shoulder at every turn. Like I said, she’s very random.
