#AvailableNow!~~Sage’s Surrender by Joy Blood #SeriesReview #MCRomance
She is my best friend’s daughter. I have no right to be looking at her the way I do, but with her snotty attitude I find myself wanting to put her bratty ass into its place. Under me.
I have had a stupid school girl crush on him since I was fifteen years old. Now he is dragging me back to the one person I am not ready to face. My father.
“I have been with lots of women but none – I mean none – have driven me as mad as you do.”
Sage’s Surrender is book #4 of the Hells Riders series which is a spin-off of the Reckoning series. It is a standalone. There is no problem following the story. I have read all of the previous books in the series. Each story gets better. I have found that this is a much darker and sometimes violent MC series.
Once again we are deep into the Hells Riders MC. The club has come back from near extinction and the brothers are very close. Sage is the very well-known man whore of the club. He has been around, and around. He loves women, and sometimes more than one at a time. Gin met Sage at a rough time in his life. Gin introduced Sage to the Hells Riders and they became best friends.
Brook is Gin’s daughter. She is twenty two and Sage is forty two. Brook had a school girl crush on Sage when she was a teen. Sage felt an attraction too, but squashed it down because of her age and being Gin’s daughter. Brook is away for several years, wanting nothing to do with her dad or the MC life. She is brought back to Cental when her father is shot and is clinging to life. Sage volunteers to go and bring Brook back. What he finds is not the teen that left home. He finds….
“She’s all grown up. Tall and stacked is what I’d normally say, but since she’s my best friend’s daughter, I’m going with grown up. She looks grown up.”
Sage and Brook have a lot of chemistry. He really tries to fight her off, but the pull is too great. Brook is so stubborn and independent. And yet she feels insecure about letting her family down and being a failure. Sage is super alpha! Very sexy. A situation puts everyone in close quarters and this thing between them cannot be denied. Sage and Brook are explosive together!
“For a moment, I wonder what she might taste like. Sweet and forbidden. Most definitely forbidden.”
The road ahead is bumpy! But everything is not as it seems…. There are a few twists and an “oh no!” moment that had me cringing.
The back story that has been a bit of a thread through the first few books seems to be completed. And, there is a bonus chapter that sets a scene with “Brood” of the Rhino chapter that absolutely melted my heart! I would love to see his story! And we still have Ringer’s story….. He is one kinky biker!
“The girl is playing with fire and I can see it in her eyes – in the blaze that lingers there. Anger. Hate. Lust.”

Stephanie’s 3.75 Blush Review for Jake’s Silence
Jake’s Silence is book #1 of the Hell’s Riders series which, is a spin-off of the Reckoning series. Author Joy Blood recommends reading the Reckoning series to best understand some of the characters and backstory, and warns that it is a much darker and twisted story. I have not read Reckoning. Joy Blood does provide a short summary of Reckoning before the prologue.
Jake is part of the Hell’s Riders MC. The Central chapter was ambushed two years ago and most of the members killed. Jake is one of the survivors and has returned as VP while they begin to rebuild the MC. Kimi was rescued by Jake along with Ellie. At that time Jake rode off due to circumstances.
Kimi was taken in by Ellie & Vin and is now starting college. Kimi has had a very tragic life. She was ten years old when her parents were killed and she was sent to live with her uncle. Very bad things happened to her.
“I’ve lived quite the sheltered life, although I wouldn’t call it shelter – more like a closed off hell.”
Kimi has just started college. Jake is sent to check on Kimi and their chemistry cannot be denied. Jake is very alpha and sexy-hot! Kimi is beautiful, smart and together. A series of events occur involving the Hell’s Riders as they try to discover who turned on their own MC club which led to the devastating ambush.
Overall I enjoyed the story. I would definitely recommend reading Reckoning first. The only issue I had is the editing. I know that the book has been re-edited, but there are still many errors present. I look forward to the next book Gin’s Longing.
Stephanie’s 3.75 Blush Review for Gin’s Longing
Gin is part of the Hell’s Riders MC. The Cental chapter was ambushed two years ago and most of the members were killed. Gin was there and lost so much that day. Although he survived, his emotional pain is deep. And he is still haunted by what he saw that day.
Grace is the daughter of a deceased Hell’s Rider. Gin had promised that he would look after her and he has. He’s been a shadow until one night he must intervene. Something about Grace stirs Gin’s heart. It is a feeling he has not felt since the ambush. But Grace is too young and he knows it. Gin feels she is now safe so he goes on with his life until one day she shows up, all grown up, at the Hell’s Rider compound needing his help….
I really enjoyed Gin & Grace’s story. The prologue devastated me! There is so much heartache and angst. But there is also hot, steamy, sex. Gin is the ultimate alpha when it comes to sex. But he also wants to take care of Grace. There are many twists to their story. I have to say that the Hell’s Rider’s really get put to the test! Both Gin and Grace learn many lessons about themselves and healing.
The writing has gotten better with each book and Gin’s Longing did not have the issue with editing that Jake’s Silence did. I saw no issues at all with Gin’s story. As author Joy Blood states it is a much darker and twisted story. For me, I found Hell’s Rider series to definitely be very raw and gritty.
“How could anyone be a better man than you, Gin?”
“You’re only saying that because you don’t know me, babe. I’m not a good man, nor a reliable one.”
Up next is Rico’s story in Rico’s Way. I am sure it will rock my world!
Stephanie’s 3.75 Blush Review for Rico’s Way
Rico’s Way is book #3 of the Hell’s Riders series which, is a spin-off of the Reckoning series. It is a standalone. There is no problem following the story. However, if you read Jake’s Silence and Gin’s Longing (books #1 & #2) you get a better feel of the character’s and their personalities. The series starts a little slow but really builds with each new story. This is definitely a darker MC series.
Just when I think I have found my favorite Hell’s Riders, a new book comes out! I really loved Rico. And that was unexpected. Rico was mysterious and moody in the previous books. There was not a whole lot of information about him except that he was in a wheelchair due to a back injury.
“The first time I saw her, I knew I was in trouble. All perky with a smile plastered on her face.”
Ari is one crazy girl! She is best friends with Kimi who we met in Jake’s Silence. Ari is stubborn, independent and free spirited. Rico is very alpha! He has had many obstacles to overcome both physical and mental. At first their relationship was turbulent. Rico and Ari argue and fight like crazy! They act as though they hate each other. But there is a fine line between love and hate. I feel that Rico let his pride get before him in the beginning.
“Rico, the sexy as sin asshole who has done nothing but annoy and confuse the hell out of me since I met him.”
The story has several twists and turns. New faces are brought into the mix as well as the set up for Sage’s story. There is still a thread in the series – a back burning story. We get little glimpses with each book. Rico and Ari had a hard journey but made their way through. I really loved Rico. I was totally #TeamRico by the end!
Next up is Sage’s story and it looks like it is going to be… interesting!
