What. A. Ride. Lydia Michaels has shown her talent and versatility as a writer! #Hurt is her first “dark romance” and she is bringing it to a new level! I don’t even know where to start my review! Her writing, as usual, is exquisite. Each chapter brings on a new level of terror! What else could possibly happen??? It drug me under like a rip tide, pulling and pulling until I was completely submerged!

Emery Danner is quiet, shy and simply beautiful. She is not very social but enjoys the simple things. She is in awe of Callan but her shyness prevents her from seeking more than friendship with him.
“The hurt still anchored him. But so did she.”
Callan McGregor has not had an easy life. He is such an enigma! Life has made him savage and brutal in order to survive. And yet he has a thoughtful, gentle, shy side as well. Add in his Scottish accent and a few Gaelic words and whoa! I absolutely loved him! I could literally feel his pain!
