Savor You by Kristen Proby
A Fusion Novel
Publication Date: April 24th, 2018
Genre: Contemporary Romance
In the next sizzling romance in Kristen Proby’s New York Times bestselling Fusion series, two celebrity chefs compete in a culinary competition, but resisting each other will prove to be the greater challenge.
Cooking isn’t what Mia Palazzo does, it’s who she is. Food is her passion . . . her pride . . . her true love. She’s built a stellar menu full of delicious and sexy meals for her restaurant, Seduction. Now, after being open for only a few short years, Mia’s restaurant is being featured on Best Bites TV. To say Seduction is a wild success is an understatement. All the blood, sweat, tears, and endless hours of work Mia has put into the restaurant has finally paid off.
Then Camden Sawyer, the biggest mistake of her life, walks into her kitchen . . .
Camden’s celebrity chef status is world-renowned. He’s the best there is, and the kitchen is where he’s most at home. He can’t resist the invitation to Portland for a showdown against Mia for a new television show. Mia was in his life years ago, and just like before, he’s met his match in the beautiful Italian spitfire. The way she commands the kitchen is mesmerizing, and her recipes are clever and delicious. He’s never had qualms about competition, and this is no different. He can’t wait to go head to head with Mia. But can he convince her the chemistry theyshare in the kitchen would be just as great in the bedroom as well?
As Mia and Camden face off, neither realizes how high the stakes are as their reputations are put on the line and their hearts are put to the ultimate test.
Stephanie’s 4 Blush Review
Savor You is the fifth and final book in Kristen Proby’s Fusion Series. It can be read as a standalone but if you read the previous books you get a feel for the scene. You get to know these five awesome friends and owners of Seduction, a trendy, upscale restaurant in downtown Portland. With each addition to the Fusion Series you get a glance into their lives, adding a bit more with each story. The series comes to a conclusion as Mia’s story is told. I was so curious to see how it would play out.
Mia is the ultimate workaholic chef. The kitchen is her domain. And perfection is her middle name. Well, it may be her only name! Food is her passion. She has worked endlessly to create delicious, sexy, creative meals for Seduction. Watching Mia throughout the last four books has left me laughing and curious. She is so serious. So driven.
“My kitchen is the most intimate part of me.”
But we learn that Mia has a secret. One that she’s never told. Not even to her best friends. Her secret is revealed early on in the book. And it involves Camden…..
“I sigh and resign myself to this weird twist of fate. Camden is back in my life. I never thought that would happen. The culinary world isn’t huge, but I’ve been careful to make sure we haven’t crossed paths in all these years, and now, here we are. Working together.”
Camden is a world-renown celebrity TV chef. Seduction is being featured on Best Bites TV and Camden is brought in to ‘face off’ with Mia! Lights, camera, and plenty of action! The chemistry between Camden and Mia has not died down even though they have not seen each other in 10 years! Where there is smoke, there is fire! Hot fire!
The ten years between them leave a lot of unanswered questions on both sides. However, what they feel cannot be denied. Will Camden and Mia have a second chance? I found Camden to be very laid back but also very dominant. He knows what he wants, but he also gives in. Mia is very funny. Grouchy in the morning and all around control freak. Cooking is her passion and her identity. She has to learn how to loosen up and let others take the reins. It is a lesson not easily learned.
I really enjoyed the series. Savor You was a great way to end it. Each book, each main character had unique and fun qualities to them. We have gotten to know them all throughout the series and they have amazing friendships together. As I have said in previous reviews, I have found the writing to be in a similar style as the With Me in Seattle series. It is a style that I enjoy reading.
I LOVE my epilogues and this one did not disappoint! Such a great wrap for a fun series!
Sandy’s 4 Blush Review
This is Book #5 and the conclusion to the delicious (pun intended) Fusion series. It’s Mia’s story and once again, KP does not disappoint! It’s also a second chance romance which is my favorite type of romance.
Once upon a time, Mia and Camden were culinary students who become friends and then roommates. Then friends with benefits which results in a pregnancy and a hasty marriage. Except that it was a false positive – there was no pregnancy. Well what the heck is Mia supposed to do now? He did the “right thing” but he can’t possibly love her, right? Mia wrote a Dear John, packed her stuff and left.
Present day – both are successful Chefs. It’s been 10 years – now they are thrown together for a televised cooking competition. Each one ambivalent about working together. Mia is afraid of her feelings for Camden and is desperate to keep that to herself. Camden wants an explanation for why she left the way she did and knows from get go that he has feelings for Mia.
Is it possible to work with your ex for the sake of your career. More importantly, can they be honest and let down the walls they’ve built to protect their hearts.
This is a sexy, fun, not too angsty, romance with great banter. One of the things I adore about Kristen is that she gives her characters humanity with their quirks. Savor You follows the same winning formula.
An epilogue gives us a snapshot of the Fusion gang five years down the line. I loved getting that unexpected treat. There is more but I’ll let you discover for yourself when you 1-Click.

Kristen was born and raised in a small resort town in her beloved Montana. In her mid-twenties, she decided to stretch her wings and move to the Pacific Northwest, where she made her home for more than a dozen years.
During that time, Kristen wrote many romance novels and joined organizations such as RWA and other small writing groups. She spent countless hours in workshops, and more mornings than she can count up before the dawn so she could write before going to work. She submitted many manuscripts to agents and editors alike, but was always told no. In the summer of 2012, the self-publishing scene was new and thriving, and Kristen had one goal: to publish just one book. It was something she longed to cross off of her bucket list.
Not only did she publish one book, she’s since published close to thirty titles, many of which have hit the USA Today, New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists. She continues to self publish, best known for her With Me In Seattle and Boudreaux series, and is also proud to work with William Morrow, a division of HarperCollins, with the Fusion Series.
Kristen and her husband, John, make their home in her hometown of Whitefish, Montana with their two pugs and two cats.
