Would you rather know a truth that makes you feel hopeless, or keep believing the lies? Beloved and bestselling author Colleen Hoover returns with the spellbinding story of two young people with devastating pasts who embark on a passionate, intriguing journey to discover the lessons of life, love, trust–and above all, the healing power that only truth can bring.
Sky, a senior in high school, meets Dean Holder, a guy with a promiscuous reputation that rivals her own. From their very first encounter, he terrifies and captivates her. Something about him sparks memories of her deeply troubled past, a time she’s tried so hard to bury.
Though Sky is determined to stay far away from him, his unwavering pursuit and enigmatic smile break down her defenses and the intensity of the bond between them grows. But the mysterious Holder has been keeping secrets of his own, and once they are revealed, Sky is changed forever and her ability to trust may be a casualty of the truth.
Only by courageously facing the stark revelations can Sky and Holder hope to heal their emotional scars and find a way to live and love without boundaries. Hopeless is a novel that will leave you breathless, entranced, and remembering your own first love.

Christina’s 5 Blush Up All Night Review
THIS BOOK IS AMAZING and the audible is an even more intense experience than reading the book. I highly recommend giving it a listen. Narrated by Angela Goethals, Hopeless is the heartbreaking story of young Sky and her captivating love interest- Dean Holder. *sigh*….Holder. If ever there was a book boyfriend, it’s Holder. I don’t know if any book hero will ever crawl inside my heart in the way Holder has. Angela Goethals is one of my favorite narrators. The way she reads gets completely under your skin and inside your soul so you never want to stop listening. If she narrated a technical journal on the merits of Q tips, I would listen with reckless abandon. I love the tone, inflection and emotion in Angela’s voice. I love the way she builds up the anticipation of the climax of the story, and then ever so slowly reveals the twists and turns while keeping you perched on the edge of your seat in a tight stress ball of anxiety. This was the first audible book that invited into the shower with me just because I didn’t want to stop listening. If you’re new to audible, I think this would be a great place to start!
Louisa’s 5 HOPELESS BLUSHES
Hopeless by Colleen Hoover is one of my all-time favorite YA books. There just isn’t anything better when it comes to YA. I loved reading it and revisiting it via audible.
I prefer to read a book before listening to it, I want to enjoy every word that is written and when “audibling” I often get lost in the words, this, however, doesn’t happen when listening to Hopeless. The narrator is phenomenal, she is exactly the way I which I envisioned Sky, she captured her so well.
The twists and turns of the book will slowly come back to you if you haven’t read Hopeless in a while, it’s almost as if it’s new to you.
There are 19 THOUSAND reviews of Hopeless on Goodreads with an almost 4.5-star rating if you haven’t fell into the words of Colleen Hoover, this is a beautiful way to fall.
