Thirty days. That’s all Adam Steinbeck demands of his wife. Thirty days in a remote cottage, doing everything he demands. After that, he’ll sign her divorce papers and give her their company.
That’s how long he has to rediscover the man he once was. The dominant master he hid when he fell in love with her five years before.
She wants their production company badly enough to go to the cottage for a month. Cut off ties to the world and do his bidding. She can submit to him with her body, but her heart will never yield.
She thinks this is his pathetic attempt to repair their marriage.
Louisa’s 4.5 Star Review
My first CD Reiss book was an audible book. I think I chose wisely!!
This book…this story…it’s so much more than a man who likes to dominate women. That’s not what it’s about, truly. He loves his wife. As you listen you just get another look into Adams life and into the inner workings of who he really is! We are given a different side of his wife Diana that Adam has never seen and could very well be afraid to see!
I often found myself sitting in my car listening instead of going to work or grocery shopping (damn me for forgetting my earbuds!) I laughed out loud, shed tears and my jaw dropped a few times.
They often say “be careful what you wish for”…while listening, this statement came to mind. What an absolute mind f*ck of a book!
Who knew I would wish I was a woman in Montauk NY in a snowstorm?
These narrators are not new to me, I have had them on my short list of favorites for a while now and neither of them disappointed me! Sebastian York talking dirty is one of my favorite things to listen to! Elena Wolfe has the ability to narrate with such feeling and depth that I often was sucked into her character, made to feel the sadness and vulnerability that she was feeling. For me – these narrators made the story come to life which is the most important part of an audible for me. I can’t wait for the Separation Games book to release. Unfortunately, not sure if the audible will be released at the same time, so reading Separation Games may come before listening! (Not sure I can wait!!)
