I was reading the Edge of Never and they were talking about New Orleans, it made me think that even with all of the images I have seen on the news because of Hurricane Katrina that I visualize New Orleans a complete different way. I see it through the eyes of Anne Rice when I first read the Witching Hour 16 years ago. I was married in North Carolina but I see North Carolina, with Wild horses running on the beach because of Nicholas Sparks. I see Kiev Russia decades ago because of Tattianna in the Bronze Horseman. I have traveled to Mexico City in my imagination because of Angel Fire by L.A. Weatherly. And Although I have been to Seattle with my sister and brother in law, I see the towers of the skyline from the roof tops of Fifty Shades of Gray.
What an amazing thing that reading can do to weave a place into your imagination so vast that the images can sometimes over take real life. An author can take words and build places that your mind can never forget. This among so many other things is why I love to read.
My name is Abby and I am a book nut. A bit of a fanatic. Reading has always been my thing and so has writing. With the helpful push of Dawn, who I will sometimes refer to as my reading soul mate, I published my first Novel, Wreck You in May of 2014. I write about what I really enjoy reading, which is alpha males, strong females, action and sex.
My favorite vampire series is The Dark Secret Series by A.M. Hudson
I love The Sea of Tranquilty by Katja Millay
I love The Breathing Series by Rebecca Donovan
The Bronze Horseman, Paulina Simmons
Mystery Man, Kristen Ashley
Undeniable, Madeline Sheehan
Therapy, Kathryn Perez
So Much It Hurts, Melanie Dawn
Maybe Someday, Colleen Hoover
Breakneck Series, Crystal Spears
Tears of Tess, Pepper Winters
Raw, Belle Aurora
There are so many other great stories. I actually read at least 4 books a week.
I met my partner, Dawn for our blog online and we are two strangers who came together to share our love of reading. We quickly became friends. It occurs to me that its a leap to meet someone online and within a week to start a blog together. Some times leaps are the best way to get somewhere. I hope that this blog finds you sharing what you love to read, perhaps finding something new, or maybe even inspiring you to want to open a book for the first time in a long time.
Thanks for Reading
