#5StarReview ~~ Bad Mommy by Tarryn Fisher

Bad Mommy

When Fig Coxbury buys a house on West Barrett Street, it’s not because she likes the neighborhood, or even because she likes the house. It’s because everything she desires is next door: The husband, the child, and the life that belongs to someone else.

This book…this author…my obsession continues…

This book is nothing like you expect but everything you expect from Tarryn Fisher.

I finished this book 3 days ago and I can’t stop thinking about it.  I am obsessed.

“Why is Fig the way she is?”

“Why did Darius do that?”

“How did Jolene not see what was going on?”

That’s one thing you can always get from a Tarryn Fisher book is contemplation…thoughts about what exactly you read.  Read between the lines is the one bit of advice I can give you.  It’s never as it seems.  Tarryn gets your brain thinking and the wheels start turning and they don’t ever stop (not even after you stop reading.)

I read this book and found myself reading paragraphs, again and again, thinking “What? Is That Right?” I often thought there were gaps and holes in the storyline and I couldn’t imagine that Tarryn would have such blatant mistakes throughout the book then I reminded myself “Louisa, this is Tarryn, these inconsistencies have meaning…give it time.”

So I did that, I read and read and read.  Many of those concerns were answered but many still remain, it’s one of the many reasons, I so enjoy Tarryn Fisher books, she gets your mind thinking, contemplating, worrying.  Just fantastic! Another fabulous, twisted, mind-bending book by Tarryn Fisher! Or as it’s rumored…by Colleen Hoover. Whoever wrote it…I LOVED IT!
