How does one author continue to write book after book that tops the last one?? Jewel E. Ann is that author for me. I think with each book I say “this is my new favorite” and Before Us is no different. This book, these characters, this story – all so very unique. I read this book in one day – seriously – one day – I couldn’t put it down. I needed it, I found it essential and a requirement to move on with my life to know how this story would pan out. It’s not just a “fake marriage,” or “age gap,” or “marriage of convenience” book – it was so much more. Such emotion in Jewel E. Ann’s writing that I fell in love with these characters. Each of the 3 main characters had something that made you just want to be their friend. Suzie, Cal and Emersyn each were a force to be reckoned with – each such amazing people and I wanted them all to have a happy ending. To say this book had angst, to me, is an understatement – I had this nagging pit in my stomach while reading ✅Friends-to-lovers ✅Marriage of Convenience ✅ANGSTY ✅Boss/Employee
